Altenew Challenge – Thailand (second card)

Here’s my second card for the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge: From Places Abroad using the Clearly Besotted stamp set Eastern Delights. I thought of this set as soon as I saw the picture. I used a sentiment from the Altenew Lace Up stamp set.

Altenew Challenge – Thailand

I love the places abroad challenges by Altenew. I just wish I had time to make all the cards I get ideas for. This month the inspiration is Thailand. Here’s the picture:

I managed to make two cards this month. I will submit both of them to the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge: From Places Abroad . I made them ages ago but needed the pressure of the end of the challenge to get my blog post done.

An A-maze-ing Challenge

This card was inspired by the Altenew March Challenge – From Places Abroad: France. It was also inspired by a technique in a class I took by the fantastic Mayuri on Craftsy: Radiant Stamping.

First, I stamped the background stamp on white cardstock with Versamark ink.

Then, I added Ranger Verdigris embossing powder and heat embossed it. I tried to take the picture so you could see the different colours and the shine in the powder (sorry, a Brit living in Canada…I can’t write color).

After, I used Zig watercolour brushes (Carmine Red 022, Purple 082) to add the colour. I drew some colour on my craft mat and used water with a Ranger #2 brush to paint in the colour.

I used the Altenew stamp set Label Love for the sentiment. Which I stamped with black ink and added dimension with foam tape.

I added a white mat with white cardstock and put it on a green card base.
